At The Edge Of The Village

9/21/5777 17.05.2017

Beis Hashunnamis is the place, and Erev Shavu’os is the time, and Rav Chaim Palagi is the originator of the segulah.  You can’t miss this one.

Nobody cares anymore about the bunch of Jews clad in black coats and hats that infiltrate the edge of the Arab village in the Galilee.

The residents of Shunem already know they are looking for the house of the Shunnamite.

Just like in the Haftorah. Elisha Hanavi would stay, when traveling, in the house of the Shunnamite lady who didn’t have any children. And then he blessed her to bear a son.

Beis Hashunamis. The Stipler used to send people here, to daven that they should have children. And the Stipler’s son, Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita, does the same.

It’s Not Just A Number

104 is the famous segulah for having children: to give 104 coins as tzedaka, on Erev Shavu’os, to a needy and modest talmid chacham.

Now, if you want to find a genuine talmid chacham who is both needy and modest, where do you look?

Vaad Harabbanim knows. They are already on the allocation list. Let us take care of it, and we will make sure everything is done right.

Rav Chaim Palagi said it works like this: you set aside 91 coins, and then you add more, until it adds up to 104, which is twice the gematriya of בן, “son”.

It’s not just a number. It has great significance.

104 = 40

So on Erev Shavu’os, the emissaries of Vaad Harabbanim will go to Beis Hashunamis, there to perform the segulah of Rav Chaim Palagi, and to pray for all the people whose names are on the specially prepared Vaad Harabbanim list. And they will continue to daven 40 days consecutively for the people on the list.

But wait, it’s not just for childless couples.

Rav Chaim Palagi writes that this segulah is for “having children and hastening the ge’ulah.”

Now, wouldn’t you like to be redeemed from all your difficulties?

Redemption from financial pressures, from health issues, from domestic difficulties, from chronic misbehavior of children?

Redemption from all that ails you. Because we all need a ge’ulah in our own private lives, as well as the great, collective ge’ulah sheleimah, may it be soon!

The Gedolim practice this segulah of Rav Chaim Palagi, and so should you.

So make sure you are in on this one. It just might be the solution to your most pressing issues.
