It is going to happen. This year.  CHNUKA_USA2

Next to the Chanukah menorahs of the Gedolei Hador shlita, something very big is going to happen.

The little flames are dancing with joy, and the Gedolei Hador are davening. They are davening for you, dear donor.

This year, miracles are meant to happen, and they are meant to happen to you.

The Tefilah of the Gedolei Hador, together with the light of the Chanukah candles, is going to illuminate all those dark corners in life, all those dim, down areas, that need light so badly.

That’s what it’s all about.

Someone Is Watching

There is a crowd standing there, looking on, as the Gedol Hador recites the three berachos, followed by a mass “Amein,” and then he stretches out his hand to kindle the lights.

Then comes Al Hanissim, Ma’oz Tzur, and, of course, the giving of tzedakah to Vaad Harabbanim.

You can see that very clearly in all the pictures.

And don’t think it is just some kind of a publicity gimmick. Not that Vaad Harabbanim is allergic to publicity, but that’s not why they do it. It’s because the very act of giving tzedakah to Vaad Harabbanim charges this special event with a special aura and a special spiritual force that simply would not be there otherwise. It’s not an extra, or a staged event. It is at the heart of the matter.

Because that’s the mitzvah. You light the menorah, you sing the songs, and you give tzedakah to the best of your ability. And the best of your ability means through Vaad Harabbanim. That’s why the Gedolim do it that way.

A Tefilah For You

When the Gedolei Hador light the menorah, and accompany it with tzedakah to Vaad Harabbanim, they don’t stop there. Because how much can they possibly donate, on their own? Is that going to feed the poor and heal the sick and marry off the orphans?

You know how much money that takes??

So they daven for you, dear donor, because the Gedolei Hador so love you and are so grateful to you for doing what you anyway should be doing, which is donating to Vaad Harabbanim, especially at Chanukah time.

You make it all possible, and you deserve all the berachos.

And you get them.

So join in, and do it now.
